Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the SnippetPilot desktop application and website.

License

SnippetPilot grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application for personal or commercial work on devices you control, subject to these terms and any terms of the store through which you obtained it. You may not resell the application, redistribute modified builds, remove legal notices, or attempt to defeat security or licensing controls.

Current price and future services

The desktop application is currently available free of charge. Optional online or connected services may be introduced later and may require payment. Any applicable price, recurring charge and cancellation terms will be disclosed before purchase. A Microsoft Store acquisition is also subject to Microsoft's store terms and refund process.

Your content

Your snippets remain yours. They are stored locally by default, we claim no ownership of them, and you are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups and for the content you choose to store or paste.

Acceptable use

Do not use the application or website to violate law, infringe the rights of others, distribute malware, probe or disrupt the service, or automate abusive submissions.

Updates and availability

Features, supported platforms and online services may change. We may modify or discontinue a feature, but will not retroactively charge you without presenting the applicable terms and price first.

Warranty

To the extent permitted by law, the application and website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. Mandatory consumer rights are not excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost data, revenue or profits, arising from use of the application or website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
