Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the SnippetPilot desktop app and this website collect, why the data is used, and the choices available to you.

The desktop app

Your snippets, folders, tags and global variables are stored locally on your device. The app works offline and does not upload snippet content to us.

• No account is required to use the desktop app.
• We do not collect the content of your snippets.
• When the app checks for updates or you download a file, the server receives the ordinary request data described below, including your IP address and user agent.
• Optional online services may be introduced in the future. Their data use and price, if any, will be disclosed before you enable or purchase them.

This website

• Email subscriptions. When you subscribe, we store your email address, the consent text shown at submission, the subscription time and source, your IP address, and your browser user agent. We use this information to maintain the list, document consent, prevent abuse, and send the product or release emails you requested.
• Feedback form. When you submit feedback, we store your message, selected category, and any name or email address you provide. We also record the submitting IP address and browser user agent to prevent spam and abuse.
• Server and download logs. The web server and download host process ordinary request information such as IP address, requested path, status, timestamp and user agent for delivery, reliability and security.
• Administrator access. Visitors receive no site login cookie. Administrators receive a secure session cookie after signing in.
• No advertising trackers. The site does not load analytics scripts, advertising networks or third-party fonts.

Service providers and disclosure

The site uses infrastructure providers for website hosting, DNS/TLS and file downloads. Subscription data is stored in the website database and can be exported by an administrator. If an email delivery provider is connected, the addresses and consent records needed to send requested messages may be transferred to that provider. The currently configured provider status is shown below.

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to service providers acting for the purposes above, when required by law, or to protect the service and its users.

Retention and your choices

Subscription records are kept until you unsubscribe, ask us to delete them, or the list is retired. Use the unsubscribe page, the Feedback page or the contact address below to request removal. Feedback is kept until it has been resolved and is no longer useful. Operational logs are retained only as long as needed for reliability and security.

You may ask for access, correction or deletion of personal information associated with you. Applicable law may provide additional rights.

Material changes are published on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
