Save only what you choose.
Quick Capture is deliberate saving, not automatic clipboard history.
Capture a useful piece of text
- Copy text in the source application.
- Open Quick Capture from the app or with its shortcut. Default shortcuts: Control-Command-N (⌃⌘N) on macOS 1.0; Ctrl+Alt+C on Windows 1.2 and Linux 1.0.
- Depending on your edition, the copied text appears automatically or you paste it in. On macOS, paste it with ⌘V.
- Review the text, add a title, collection or tags and edit if needed.
- Save, or cancel without adding anything to your library.
Nothing is saved simply because you copied it. SnippetPilot does not read other apps' selections or monitor the clipboard in the background.
Protect sensitive text
Avoid collecting passwords or recovery codes unnecessarily. Encryption in a library does not secure text that remains on your system clipboard.
